BUNDESLIGA - Wolfsburg head exec Schafer: "Brekalo wants out"
Asked by Sportbuzzer about the future of 23-year old Croatian international winger Josip Brekalo, Wolfsburg head of football, Marcel Schafer, stated: "The player made us clear he wants to leave Wolfsburg. But that's going to happen only as long as a proper bid is submitted to us".
To this end, former Stuttgart player, still on a deal with Die Wölfe until June 2023, is currently tracked hard by both Fiorentina and Lazio. Apparently eager to move into the Italian football scene, Brekalo, previously tracked by Atalanta and Lille as well, has recently been inquired about by a bunch more clubs from all around Europe. Dinamo Zagreb alumni is in fact an item of interest also for Bayern Munich, Sevilla FC, Real Sociedad, Everton, Leeds United, Inter Milan, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid.
