NATIONS - Lewandowski fires back at Poland fans: Respect

In the face of adversity, England's players all took a knee in Poland on Wednesday night.

Prior to the event, Poland fans had showed some class by clapping England's national song only seconds before kick-off.

However, as soon as Gareth Southgate's XI knelt, the atmosphere in the Polish capital shifted abruptly, with booing echoing around the stadium.

While everything was going on, the television cameras moved to Robert Lewandowski, who looked to shoot back at his adoring fans.

As the boos around the players became louder, the Bayern Munich goal machine gestured to the word 'Respect' on his sleeve.

Despite being booed by supporters both at home and abroad, England has made it plain that they will continue to take the knee.
