PREMIER - Everton goalie Pickford: "Ours is a club of passion"

Interviewed by Everton TV, Toffees and English national team prominent goalkeeper Jordan Pickford stated:

"It’s been four years since I joined Everton and there’s no doubt it’s been a great move for me. Sunderland was my boyhood team, of course, but for me it was all about kicking on and developing and I’ve done that. Everton is a massive club and it’s the People’s Club. We’ve got a great fanbase.

You can see the passion the Evertonians have every matchday, home and away. And we see that passion every day in training, too, with the staff we’ve got here. They’re all Toffees. The kit men, the physios, the masseurs, everyone… It's clear how much Everton means to them.

When we win, it gives them such a buzz, as it does for all the fans. That’s what I thrive off, seeing the fans enjoying themselves. That’s why I hate losing, too. You’re not just losing for yourself or the team, you’re losing for the fans as well. Every weekend, we want to be able to send supporters home with a win so they can enjoy their post-match pints or however they like to celebrate!"
