Shock at Manchester United: Bruno Fernandes open to Al Ittihad move

A potential shake-up looms at Manchester United with just days left in the transfer window. According to CaughtOffside, Bruno Fernandes has now opened the door to a possible exit from Old Trafford.
Earlier this year, the Portuguese midfielder turned down a staggering offer from Al Hilal, worth a total of £100m and including wages of £700,000 per week. After talks with the club’s hierarchy and coaching staff, Fernandes chose to stay, stressing his ambition to fight for major trophies. United also made clear they were under no financial pressure to sell, reaffirming their intention to keep hold of their captain.
But Saudi interest has not gone away. Al Ittihad have re-entered the picture this summer, holding talks with the player’s representatives. Fernandes is said to have given the green light to a move, with his camp demanding a deal worth around €40m per year, though no agreement has yet been reached.
Whether United will sanction his departure remains uncertain. Fernandes is still a pivotal figure for the Red Devils, but at 29 the club may not get many more chances to cash in. At the same time, keeping an unsettled player who is weighing up his future poses its own risks.
The situation is particularly delicate for head coach Rúben Amorim, who needs a fully focused and motivated squad to lift performances and get United back on track this season.
