Inter, Newcastle renew interest in Frattesi: opening offer rejected

Davide Frattesi’s name is back in the spotlight on the transfer front at Inter. According to Sky Sport, Newcastle United have revived their interest in the Italian midfielder with a fresh approach.
The Premier League club sounded out the Nerazzurri with a proposal for a loan deal including an obligation to buy. However, the conditions for that obligation to be triggered were deemed too difficult, leading Inter to turn the offer down.
The club value Frattesi at around €40m and, while he has never been officially placed on the market, they would only consider a sale under clear and straightforward terms, with a guaranteed return. That could mean either a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy activated under more attainable conditions.
If Newcastle are serious about signing the 24-year-old, they will need to return swiftly with an improved proposal.
