Juventus make move for Ceballos as intermediaries head to Turin
After his collapsed switch to Marseille, Dani Ceballos is still searching for a new club, and now an Italian giant has entered the race.
The Spanish midfielder had been on the verge of joining OM to work under Roberto De Zerbi, with a loan deal including an option to buy already well advanced. But the move fell through at the last moment. The reason? Ceballos asked for a day to reflect before committing, a request that reportedly irritated the French club’s hierarchy, who promptly walked away from negotiations.
Now a surprise opening has emerged with Juventus. The Bianconeri remain in the market for a midfielder to bolster Igor Tudor’s squad ahead of the new season and have set their sights on the 28-year-old Real Madrid player. According to Sport Mediaset, intermediaries have travelled to Turin in recent hours in an attempt to reach an agreement with Cristiano Giuntoli and his team.
