Como have tabled a €28m offer for Alex Jimenez, as the newly promoted side push hard to land the Spanish full-back. The player himself is now keen to leave after weeks of tension with the club, particularly with Massimiliano Allegri, who left him out of the season opener.

Ac Milan, however, have yet to green-light his departure. The Rossoneri believe they can fetch a higher fee for the 19-year-old, having signed him permanently from Real Madrid last summer for just €5m. The deal would represent a potential profit of around €25m, money that could be reinvested in the market to secure a replacement.

Bournemouth are also interested, though the Premier League side have not yet matched Como’s bid. Developments are expected in the coming hours, with Jimenez’s exit increasingly likely.

The youngster was left out of today’s squad for the clash with Lecce, a decision understood to be linked to ongoing transfer talks. His position at the club has also been undermined by repeated lateness to training, which cost him his place in the opening match against Cremonese. Allegri, however, downplayed any rift: “Everyone turns up late, some at the start, some at the end. I have absolutely nothing against Jimenez – he’s a good player. Nothing has happened at all.
