In a new report by Argentine newspaper Ole, River Plate management seem likely to accept Aston Villa's offer for young talent Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez has been recently linked to a move to Europe, with Villa and Ajax the clubs rumored to show the most interest, and now it seems that it is Aston Villa's 15M GBP offer to the millionarios that is the one that will convince River Plate to let Alvarez go. The player has a 21.5M GBP release clause in his contract, but River seem satisfied by Aston Villa's offer. Alvarez would join fellow countrymen Emi Buendia and Emiliano Martinez at the club. He is currently playing for Argentina in the Copa America, so the deal will likely be made official once the competition is over.
