Giovanni Carnevali’s Juventus are starting to take shape. The new chief executive is now in place at the Bianconeri, and alongside sporting director Marco Ottolini he will be tasked with building the squad for next season to hand over to Luciano Spalletti.

For a club of Juventus’ stature, the objective is clear: to return to the Champions League, a target they missed last season right at the final hurdle. Several names are being linked with the club at this stage of the window, and in defence there could even be scope for a familiar face to return.

One name gaining traction for the back line is Radu Drăgușin. According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, the Romanian defender’s representatives have been offering their client around Continassa.

Tottenham Hotspur, for their part, would be open to selling the former Genoa CFC centre-back, with the asking price considered relatively accessible at around €20m-€25m.

Juventus are giving the idea some thought, although sales would first be needed before any incoming move could be completed.

For Drăgușin, it would be a return to Turin. He joined Juventus from Regal București at the age of 16, spent two years with the club’s Under-23 side and also made four first-team appearances during the 2020/21 season, before moving on loan to UC Sampdoria the following year.
