Bennacer edges closer to Qatar as Al Gharafa step up pursuit after Al Shamal talks stall
Ismael Bennacer looks increasingly likely to leave AC Milan this summer. After negotiations with Al Shamal stalled over contractual details, another Qatari club have made a decisive move for the Algeria international.
According to Win Win All Sports, Al Gharafa have stepped up their pursuit of the midfielder and are now pushing to reach an agreement.
Contract issues still to be resolved
Bennacer, who has returned to Milan following his loan spell at Dinamo Zagreb, is looking for a move that would guarantee him a more prominent role as well as improved financial terms.
Before any transfer can be completed, however, Milan and the player must first reach an agreement over the terms of his departure.
In the meantime, talks between Bennacer and Al Gharafa are progressing well, with the two parties understood to be moving closer to a full agreement.
