Milan, Leão latest: Fenerbahçe to meet entourage tomorrow as proposal takes shape
It may seem unthinkable, but AC Milan are ready to sell their No 10. Something has broken between Rafael Leão and the Rossoneri, with those now-famous comments carrying the feel of a farewell. “I gave everything I had to Milan. It is a club that helped me grow a lot, that supported me in difficult moments. Fortunately, I managed to leave my mark on its history. I think everyone has dreams, challenges they aspire to, and I aspire to take on a new challenge, in a new league,” he said on 31 May.
So what happens now?
Milan have not received any offers for the Portugal winger, but one club have stepped up their interest in recent hours: Fenerbahçe. The Turkish side would be ready to challenge Galatasaray for the 27-year-old. According to SportMediaset, Fenerbahçe are expected to meet the player’s entourage tomorrow to discuss a possible move to Turkey.
Fenerbahçe proposal
Fenerbahçe are preparing a proposal worth €12m a season on a four-year contract running until 2030. There are currently no official contacts with Milan, but the message from the Rossoneri remains clear: the former Sporting CP winger will not leave without an offer of €50m.
