Inter move to secure futures of Bisseck and Carlos Augusto with new contracts

Inter are stepping up work on two important contract renewals while they continue to wait for movement in the transfer market.

The Nerazzurri are close to reaching an agreement with Yann Bisseck, who is set to extend his contract until 2031, adding two years to his current deal.

Progress is also being made in talks with Carlos Augusto. The Brazilian wing-back is expected to sign a new contract until 2030, extending his existing agreement by a further two years. The update comes from SportMediaset.

Bisseck's growing importance
Bisseck joined Inter in the summer of 2023 and established himself as a key player under Cristian Chivu last season. The German defender made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing three assists. He became a regular in the starting XI during the second half of the campaign and also impressed with his availability, missing just three matches through injury.

A valuable tactical asset
Carlos Augusto has also been with Inter since 2023 and made 46 appearances, scoring two goals and registering two assists, despite often being used as a substitute. One of the qualities Cristian Chivu values most is the Brazilian's versatility. Originally signed from Monza as a left wing-back, Carlos Augusto has successfully adapted to a left-sided centre-back role to provide cover for Alessandro Bastoni, while he has also filled in on the right following Denzel Dumfries' injury.

His ability to perform in multiple positions has made him one of Inter's most reliable and valuable squad players.
