Speaking in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto provided an update on AC Milan, who have chosen their new head coach and are also looking to finalise the arrival of a new technical director shortly.

Milan have reached an agreement for their head coach, who will 100% be Ruben Amorim. The signature will also arrive in the coming hours. The Portuguese is not expected in Milan today, but he will still sign this contract in the next few hours: two years plus one. It is not a three-year deal, but a 2+1.

Milan have therefore settled the coaching issue, but they still have to finalise the executive side of things.

We are talking about Markus Krösche: Milan planned Amorim’s arrival with the German, who gave his approval to the decision to hand the Rossoneri bench to the Portuguese coach. Milan and Krösche are already discussing documents; talks between the parties are very advanced and there is already a verbal agreement.

In the past few hours, Eintracht Frankfurt gave their own version of events, but we need to understand how much of that is strategy and how much is reality. The German club are certainly annoyed that certain news has come out.

We will see how the matter develops from Eintracht’s side, but between Milan and Krösche everything is done. What is still missing is the compensation fee, which, from what I know, will be much lower than the €7m being discussed. It is a deal Milan believe they can close.”
