AC Milan request meeting with Maignan and his agent: full details of the renewal offer
Talks over Mike Maignan’s contract renewal at Ac Milan are still ongoing, with the Rossoneri keen to secure the future of one of Massimiliano Allegri’s key players. The goalkeeper’s current deal is due to expire in just over six months, on 30 June, adding urgency to the negotiations.
Today’s edition of Tuttosport revisits the situation, reporting that a potentially decisive moment is approaching. AC Milan’s hierarchy have formally requested a face-to-face meeting with Maignan’s agent, Jonathan Kebe, in order to discuss the proposal and its limits directly. Whether the talks take place via video call or at Casa Milan, Maignan himself is expected to be present.
AC Milan’s offer is a three-and-a-half-year contract, running until 30 June 2029, with an option for 2030. The deal would be worth €5.5m net per season as a fixed base salary, rising to a maximum of €7m including bonuses. In effect, it would place Maignan on a contract similar in structure to that of Rafael Leão.
Massimiliano Allegri could also play a crucial role in the process. The French keeper enjoys an excellent professional and personal relationship with the head coach, as well as with goalkeeping coach Claudio Filippi, whom Maignan has repeatedly praised in public.
