Your immediate reaction to Juventus making Boga’s move permanent.
In short, it had been in the air for a while, but Jeremie Boga is now officially a Juventus player on a permanent basis. “I am very happy for Jérémie and very proud of the growth he has shown at Juventus. He deserved to stay at a great club because he really is a great player, but also an extraordinary person.”
Jérémie is now adored by Juventus fans. After this personal success, what do you think his next target will be?
“The fans know football very well. Nothing happens by chance. Juventus’ main objective is always to win the Scudetto, and Jérémie will fight for that too. Winning titles and trophies is the objective of every professional footballer.”
Have you written to Jérémie to congratulate him?
“Yes, of course. I sent him a very heartfelt message of congratulations. Playing for Juventus is a great opportunity; so many champions have played for this club. It is a club that makes you dream.”
Disappointment over his World Cup omission
Were you surprised that Ivory Coast did not call him up for the World Cup?
“Yes, I was surprised and disappointed for him. Representing your country at a World Cup is something magical. I really think Jérémie deserved to be part of the Elephants squad, given his performances, even if the competition is very strong. But I will always support them; after all, I was very happy with the win over Ecuador.”
