AS Roma keen on Summerville but face Manchester United competition for West Ham winger
Crysencio Summerville is also on AS Roma’s list of targets. The West Ham United winger, whose side were relegated to the Championship, has been catching the eye with the Netherlands, having already scored in their World Cup opener against Japan, and is now attracting interest from several clubs.
According to The Athletic, Roma will have to beat competition from Manchester United if they are to secure his signature - a club with a very different level of financial firepower.
Born in 2001, Summerville has made 89 appearances and scored 25 goals for Leeds United, while also registering 56 outings and eight goals for West Ham. Earlier in his career, he recorded 30 appearances and 14 goals for Leeds United Under-21s, 22 matches and two goals for ADO Den Haag, 18 appearances and five goals for FC Dordrecht, and two games for Feyenoord Under-21s.
At international level, he has won three caps for the Netherlands, scoring once. His honours also include a European Under-17 Championship title.
