Inter, Besiktas ask for Asllani discount and also target Pavard: the latest
Inter Milan are assessing sales of surplus players in order to raise funds for incoming business in the summer transfer window. Among those who could leave, in addition to Davide Frattesi, are players returning from loan spells, including Benjamin Pavard and Kristjan Asllani, who were not bought outright by Marseille and Besiktas respectively last season.
The French club have shown no intention of keeping Pavard, while the Turkish side could open talks for Asllani by asking Inter for a discount on the previously agreed €11m purchase option.
Neither player appears to be part of Cristian Chivu’s technical plans. Pavard, whose contract with Inter runs until June 2028, earns around €5m net per season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Besiktas have also made preliminary enquiries for the French defender, while other foreign clubs are monitoring the situation.
Inter’s hierarchy want to finalise departures in the coming weeks in order to ease the wage bill and finance new additions in midfield. That is an area where Asllani has struggled to find consistency, and the club have already identified different profiles for the squad they want to build going forward.
