Parting ways with AS Roma, after three unexpectedly cap-full seasons, unless offered a further year-long extension by Giallorossi management, Italian veteran goalkeeper Antonio Mirante is still a target for AC Milan, looking for an experienced backup, especially if bringing in Mike Maignan, new to the Serie A football culture and game style, from Lille, therefore using him as a "mother hen" to the newest boy in town.
Turning 38 on July 8, Mirante used to play for a bunch of clubs, including Juventus (whose development area he joined back in 2000), Siena, Crotone, Sampdoria, Parma, and Bologna. Besides, Bianconeri alumni is currently earning a 1 million euros annual salary.
