Fiorentina sign Viery from Grêmio: Brazilian announced, full deal details

Fiorentina have confirmed through their official channels that they have signed Brazilian defender Viery Fernandes Santos Lopes, better known simply as Viery, from Grêmio on a permanent deal.
The new Viola centre-back arrives after a season in which he made 27 appearances for Gremio, scoring two goals.
The Tuscan club will pay the Brazilian side a total package worth €17m, made up of €15m fixed plus a further €2m in bonuses.
The deal makes Viery the most expensive central defender in Fiorentina’s history. He now joins the back line available to new head coach Fabio Grosso as the club begin reshaping their squad for the new season.
