Juventus are looking to accelerate their transfer business. After Giovanni Carnevali’s first few days settling in at Continassa, the coming hours could bring progress on several negotiations already under way.

According to La Stampa, the Bianconeri have stepped up their pursuit of Óscar Mingueza in particular.

The wide defender is out of contract with Celta Vigo and was already a Juventus target in January. Carnevali and Marco Ottolini have made significant moves in recent hours, not least because Arsenal have also entered the race for the player.

Then there is the Franck Kessié situation. The midfielder is set to leave Saudi Arabia after three years, while Leon Goretzka remains in the background as another name to monitor.

The arrival of one - or even both - would inevitably lead to midfield departures. Fabio Miretti is expected to be the first to leave Continassa, but attention should also be paid to the situations of Teun Koopmeiners and Khéphren Thuram.

Kessié is currently away at the World Cup, but has already made it clear to his entourage that he wants to return to European football. Juventus are one option to be taken seriously, as are Atalanta BC, now led in the market by Cristiano Giuntoli.

The starting point, however, is clear: the Ivorian would have to accept a significant reduction in salary compared with the wages he has earned over the past three seasons at Al Ahli Saudi FC.
