Besiktas sign Brazilian Alex Teixeira from Jiangsu FC

Besiktas signed Alex Teixeira. This is officially announced by the Istanbul residents. The Turkish first division team does not provide any information about the length of the contract. A transfer fee is not due for the 31-year-old attacking player, as he has been without a club since the beginning of the year. The Brazilian was most recently under contract with Jiangsu FC in China.

Between 2010 and 2016, Teixeira laced up Shakhtar Donetsk's shoes and, thanks to an outstanding first half of the season on the 2016 winter transfer market, was one of the most sought-after players in Europe. Instead of going to a top league, he was drawn to the Middle Kingdom for a transfer fee of 50 million euros.
