In a Tweet on the club's official Twitter account, Borussia Dortmund confirmed they have signed Dutch forward Donyell Malen.

Malen, who was playing at PSV last season, comes in to replace recently departed star Jadon Sancho, who left for Manchester United for a massive 95M Euro fee. The striker is coming off his best season yet, where he scored 19 goals and provided 8 assists as PSV fell just short of an Eredivisie title, beaten out by rivals Ajax.

Borussia reportedly paid 34M Euros to the Dutch club, as Malen signed a five-year deal with the Germans. He will now look to form a formidable pair upfron with Erling Haaland, provided the Norwegian stays, of course.

The 22-year old arrived at PSV in 2017 from Arsenal, and after a year in the youth squad, joined the senior side. In three seasons with the club, he appeared in 81 matches and scored 41 goals, an impressive one goal every two matches played average. Borussia are hopeful he can replicate that success while at Signal Iduna Park, and in the process let the fans forget about Sancho.
