In an explosive new report by English outlet Daily Express, it now looks like that Arsenal could be going after Inter standout striker Lautaro Martinez, in what would certainly be a blockbuster deal in this transfer window.

The report claims that Martinez would be open to a move to the Premier League and Arsenal, as he sees the London club as a place where he can grow. The Gunners are actively looking to strengthen the forward position, as Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette is poised to leave the club by the end of the transfer window. They have been recently linked with Chelsea's Tommy Abraham, but Lautaro now seems a top target for Arteta, who would be delighted to have a player of Martinez's caliber in his side. It is not clear whether Inter would be open to sell him, but seen how the club's owners Suning are in financial trouble, they could agree to send the Argentinian to London for a considerable sum.

Inter have already received interest from Chelsea for Belgian standout Romelu Lukaku, and although they have reportedly declined an offer from the Stamford Bridge side, Italian media believes they will have to sell at least one more star to deal with their dire financial situation.

Could Inter lose both Lautaro and Lukaku in a single swoop to the Premier League? We'll just have to wait and see, but the rumors seem to indicate that the possibility is certainly in the cards.
