PREMIER LEAGUE - Chelsea in talks with Sevilla for Kounde
As reported by British sports broadcaster Sky Sports, Chelsea seem to be looking at Sevilla's Jules Kounde as a possible option to strengthen their defense.
Kounde has been at Sevilla for two seasons now, and in that time he was able to establish himself as one of Europe's top promising young center-backs, helping Sevilla reach a Champions League spot in the process. Deschamps, seen his rapid growth, wanted him in the French squad that competed in Euro 2020. Now he has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs, namely Manchester City and Chelsea, but the two giants will have to battle if they want to secure the 22-year old, as he still has three years left on his deal with the La Liga club, who will look to make a huge profit if they end up selling him.
The Frenchman joined Sevilla from Bordeaux in 2019, appearing in 63 matches for the club and scoring three goals in the process.
