PREMIER - Trio of clubs eyeing Arsenal Maitland-Niles
According to a new report by BBC journalist Simon Stone, Arsenal winger Ainsley Maitland-Niles is garnering interest from a trio of English clubs in this transfer window.
Apparently, Leicester City, Southampton and Burnley are keen on the player. Maitland-Niles at one point seemed to be one of Arsenal's rising young talents, however Mikel Arteta last seasons preferred Bukayo Saka to him, so playing time for the 23-year old decreased significantly. so much so that he spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion.
Maitland-Niles expressed his frustration with the current situation when he spoke to the Telegraph in an interview a few months back. In it, he declared that “If it works out, it works out, if it doesn’t then kiss Arsenal goodbye. It’s been a long journey but a proud one at that. Maybe they still want to do something & things could change. If not, there’s always other teams...I want a decision. I want some clarity" We'll see if a change of scenery is in the cards for him as the best decision for his future; in the meantime he surely has suitors that could make it happen.
Leicester, Southampton and Burnley all interested in @Arsenal Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
