As Roma make progress on Tresoldi as they move ahead of Atlético Madrid and Dortmund
Roma are stepping up their pursuit of Nicolò Tresoldi. According to Il Messaggero, the Giallorossi have made significant progress in recent days and have moved to lock down the Club Brugge striker before rival clubs can make their move.
Atlético Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are both interested in the forward after an impressive season in which he scored 23 goals and provided nine assists in 58 appearances.
Tresoldi deal not linked to Dovbyk
The move is understood to be independent of any possible sale of Artem Dovbyk, although the Ukraine international remains among the players who could leave Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad, with Genoa one club to watch. Roma must now move quickly to reach an agreement with Club Brugge and complete the deal before Atlético or Dortmund step up their interest. The 2004-born striker is valued at around €25m, according to Transfermarkt.
AS Roma also push for Summerville
Roma have also accelerated their move for Crysencio Summerville. After talks in the past few hours between Giallorossi officials and the Dutch winger’s agents, the club are understood to have made a significant offer to both the player and his entourage. At the same time, sporting director Tony D’Amico is ready to put €45m on the table in an effort to convince West Ham United to let the 2001-born winger move to the Italian capital.
