SERIE A - Lazio keen on Wolfsburg's Josip Brekalo
In a new report by Italian journalist and transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio seem to be eyeing Josip Brekalo.
Brekalo, who currently plays at Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga has been attracting interest in the past few weeks, with Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds also linked with the winger in recent times. The Croatian would be a perfect fit for Maurizio Sarri 4-3-3 scheme, and it looks like he's sure to leave Wolfsburg in this transfer window, so he is definitely an opportunity for the biancocelesti. The German club are reportedly asking for less than 20M, and the player salary is at 2M Euros, which make Brekalo an affordable target.
The 23-year old joined Wolfsburg in 2016, appearing in 105 matches for the Germans across all competitions, and scoring 17 goals in the process. He also spent one season on loan at Stuttgart in 2017. We'll see where he's headed next, and if Sarri will get his wish to bring him to the Italian capital.
