Playing for Benfica five years and a half long by now, Spanish left wingback Alejandro "Alex" Grimaldo, throughout the years, has been linked to a move outside Portugal, into major European leagues, more than once. Still on a deal with Aguias until June 2023, Barcelona FC alumni, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, has now been targeted by Lazio, on Italian club boss Maurizio Sarri's suggestion.

Previously inquired about by such clubs as Inter Milan, Juventus, Arsenal, and both Manchester giants, Grimaldo, turning 26 on September 20, is also viable as a left-back, a wide midfielder, and even as a winger. According to Transfermarkt.de, he's currently worth 22 million euros.
