As reported by Footy Extras, it is only a matter of time before forward Manor Solomon quits Shakhtar Donetsk amid interest from Arsenal, Atalanta, Roma and Aston Villa, the star’s agent has told Israeli publication Sport5.

When receiving proposals for star players, it is not often the Ukrainian outfit are willing to stand in their way. In the latest years, Elano, Willian, Douglas Costa, Fernandinho, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Fred and more have bid farewell to the club. The 22-year-old Manor will be the next key man who will part ways with them.

Sport Arena in Ukraine stated Arsenal made a £17 million offer for Solomon in the summer transfer market. The Premier League rivals Aston Villa were also rumoured to be keen at the time before opting for the safer option of the Jamaica international Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen.

Solomon scored 11 goals across all competitions as his side won another domestic title last season and, in spite of a slow start to the current season, his entourage feels a big-money move is not a million miles away.

“Shakhtar refused (offers from) anyone who approached them (during the summer),” says Shlomy Ben Ezra, Manor’s agent.

“January is another starting point because there’s another transfer window but it depends on the team’s results in the Champions League. In the end, (a move away) will happen.”
