TRANSFERS - Inter Milan hitman Lukaku turns down Chelsea royal offer
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, and as resonating in UK media, 28-year old Inter Milan and Belgian national team star striker Romelu Lukaku has just turned down Chelsea offer, adding up to a resounding 15 million euros annual salary offer.
Signed by Blues first in summer 2011, from Anderlecht, Lukaku never really managed to establish himself as a cornerstone for London giants, mostly undergoing loan-spell handouts, until joining Everton for good three years later, before 2014/15 started. A key player for Neroazzurri to take Serie A title away from Juventus nine year-long dominion last season, Lukaku made clear he's willing to stay put, for the time being.
Still on a deal with Inter Milan until June 2024, former Manchester United hitman, previously inquired about by Real Madrid, Barcelona FC, PSG, and Manchester City, might even up extending for Italian giants, before the end of the ongoing summer market session. Lukaku is at the time earning a 9 million euros annual salary, and, according to Transfermarkt.de, the right on his are currently worth a 3-digit sum.
