South American attacker considers January exit from Arsenal

Arsenal wonderkid Gabriel Martinelli could look to secure a move away from the club in January given his lack of playing time, according to a report.

The Olympic gold winner burst onto the scene under Unai Emery in the 2019-20 season, however, injuries and competition for places have prevented from making such an impact under Spanish manager Mikel Arteta.

Martinelli’s deal at Arsenal is set to expire until the summer of 2024, however, Mikel Arteta previously hinted that his lack of game time was down to attitude problems.

Now, The Mirror reports that Brazilian forward, Martinelli could attempt to head for the exit door if his situation does not change, and the 20-year-old attacker would not be short of offers if he does decide to depart from the club.

The report adds that the Gunners could elect to ship Gabriel Martinelli out on loan to another top side in Europe, with the North London giants are desperate to avoid the forward running down his deal.
