Following Jesse Lingard's impressive loan stay last season, West Ham could resume their interest in the midfielder during the January transfer window.

Following Angelo Ogbonna's ACL injury, the Hammers are expected to back David Moyes during the winter transfer window, with the club looking for forward cover as well as a new center-back.

Lingard joined West Ham on loan in the second half of the 2020/21 season and had a productive time at the London Stadium, scoring nine league goals and earning a call-up to the England side.

West Ham have relied on Michail Antonio at center-forward for much of the season, which has included Europa League obligations. Lingard's versatility would provide more backup for the Hammers.
