LIGA - Sevilla FC: the extension of Diego Carlos imminent
Arrived at Sevilla FC for €15 million from FC Nantes in 2019, Brazilian central defender Diego Carlos has succeeded in establishing himself as the holder of the central hinge of the Andalusian club in his first season.
His association with the former Bordelais Jules Koundé has made the Sevillian defense one of the best in the Spanish league, and allowing them to qualify in the Champions League for the past three seasons.
Under contract until 2024, the 2020 Olympic champion with the Seleçao is expected to renew his contract soon, as he confirmed in an interview with AS:
"We have the documents on the table, we just have to decide on the details such as the time of the announcement. I want to do great things in Seville, to help this club go as far as possible in its history." The formalization should therefore not delay.
