Last playing for Udinese, 36-year old former Spanish international striker Fernando Llorente, a free agent since last summer, is now about to enter the pitch again, by joining Basque side Eibar. Relegated from last La Liga edition, Spanish club are close to announce having signed the Pamplona-born hitman.

Throughout his career, Llorente, who started shining as a pro club player throughout his mid 2000's-early 2010's Athletic Bilbao tenure, has also fended under the flags of Juventus, Sevilla FC, Swansea City, Tottenham, and Napoli. Capping five times for Basque national team, out of his tie with that land, in spite of not being an Euskadi native, Llorente, besides two Italian national titles won as a Juventus player, between 2013 and 2015, won 2015/16 Europa League edition, as a Rojiblancos fender, and was a Spurs Champions League runner-up in 2018/19.
