LIGA MX - Florian Thauvin to arrive in Monterrey on Thursday
In an interview with Mediotiempo, Tigres UANL sporting director confirmed that new signing Florian Thauvin is expected to arrive in Monterrey on Thursday, as opposed to this past Monday, as it was first reported.
Thauvin will undergo a routine medical exam before signing with the club, and will then join his new teammates in Playa del Carmen, where Tigres will complete their preparation for the upcoming Apertura. The Frenchman is currently on vacation after his contract with Olympique de Marseille expired at the beginning of this month.
Before signing with Tigres, he was a highly sought after profile by multiple European Clubs, including A.C. Milan, but he somewhat surprisingly decided to sign with the Liga MX side, where he will reunite with National team pal Andre-Pierre Gignac, who has become a fan-favorite at Tigres.
