In an interview to ESPN Mexico, Cruz Azul President Jaime Ordiales revealed that 40-year old Mexican international goalkeeper Jesus Corona wants to retire at Cruz Azul:

"Chuy [Corona] has always said he wants to stay, he said that to everybody, he told  Alvaro [Technical Director Davila]. Continuity is what's important: if it were up to me he could stay another year and beyond no problem. Alvaro Davila is the one that is in charge of negotiations with him and Pablo [Aguilar] that have been going on since last January...I don't see a problem for both to stay" said Ordiales. He added that "age is of no consequence" when it comes to Corona, as Ordiales considers him one of the key pieces that brought the title back to Cruz Azul after a 24-year drought.

The Cruz Azul's President statement comes amidst and in response to increasing rumors that would see Corona leave the Mexico City club for Chivas, reported last week.
