MLS - Chicago Fire FC officially unveil new crest for the club
On Monday, Chicago Fire FC revealed their new crest, starting off a week of special events commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire as well as the club's foundation in 1997.
The new crest was presented in June after a months-long fan-driven effort that saw over 20,000 Fire fans, supporters, and Chicago residents contribute their ideas to the new identity.
The unveiling also comes with a set of week-long celebrations to make the whole event memorable.
“A Celebration For All Chicago” runs from Monday through Friday, culminating in “Ten/Eight: A Night at the Metro with Chicago Fire FC in conjunction with Heineken,” a party starring Chicago's own SABA. On Tuesday, there will be a “Kids Day at CIBC Fire Pitch,” and on Thursday, there will be an invitation-only private session with Matthew Wolff to explore the design of Chicago's new crest.
