Giovani Dos Santos and America officially part ways
In a tweet on the club's official Twitter account, America announced they have parted ways with Mexican international Giovani Dos Santos.
Dos Santos arrived at America in 2019, in what then was supposed to be one of the biggest signings of that year, but in the two years he spent in Coapa, the forward wasn't able to meet the great expectations the fans and management had for him. In fact, he was only able to find the net 4 times and record two assists while at America; his poor performances saw him benched for much of the time under manager Santiago Solari's reign.
He will now have to wait for new offers, but at 32 years of age his possibilities are not great, for what once was one of the greatest promises of Mexican football, after coming out of La Masia, Barcelona's World renowned youth academy.
Gracias Giovani dos Santos por vestir estos colores.
