OFFICIAL - Necaxa sign Uruguayan defender Fabricio Formiliano
As announced on the club's official Twitter account, Necaxa have signed Uruguayan defender Fabricio Formiliano.
Formiliano arrives from Penarol, where he played for four seasons, accumulating 117 appearances in the process. The vetaran defender hopes to bring solidity to Necaxa's backline, and it looks like the Aguascalientes club might be in dire need of it, seen how they lost their match against Santos in Matchday 1 of the Apertura 2021 by a resounding 3-0 scoreline.
While at Danubio and Penarol, Formiliano won plenty of silverware, so he's a player who knows what it takes to win. We'll see if he's able to bring that winning mentality to Necaxa as well, with the Rayos who haven't been able to win a championship in more than a decade.
