Dybala shock: Juventus contact agent, but his priority remains Roma
A major transfer twist has emerged around Paulo Dybala and his future. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, speaking on its Il Blitz podcast, the Argentine has been approached in recent days by Juventus, the club he reluctantly left before joining AS Roma.
Dybala’s contract expires in a matter of days, and talks over an extension with Roma have been ongoing for some time. The Giallorossi have offered him a reduced deal compared with the €6m net per season he currently earns: €2.5m plus bonuses for one year.
The forward’s entourage, meanwhile, have countered with a request for €3m net on a one-year deal, with an option for a second season.
Against that backdrop of uncertainty, Juventus have now entered the picture. The Bianconeri are understood to have contacted Carlos Novel, Dybala’s agent, to ask for information on the situation.
Napoli are also in the background, with sporting director Giovanni Manna making enquiries of his own, having known the Argentine since their time together at Juventus.
For now, Dybala has taken note of the interest, while making clear that he wants to wait for Roma’s response in the renewal talks. His preference remains to stay in the capital and, provided the right terms can be found, eventually end his career in Giallorossi colours.
