Borussia Monchengladbach can fall back on Ramy Bensebaini in the coming weeks. As the foals officially announce, the left-back returned to team training this Tuesday after suffering a groin injury two weeks ago.

Jonas Hofmann meanwhile continues to plague muscular problems, which is why the midfielder only completed an individual training program. With Marcus Thuram (torn inner ligament) and Stefan Lainer (ankle fracture), two other potential regular players will also be out in the long term.

On 14 August 2019, Bensebaïni signed a four-year deal to join Borussia Monchengladbach for 8 million euros to become the most expensive Algerian defender. He made his debut for the team in the Bundesliga as a starter during a win against 1. FC Koln. On 10 November he scored his first goal with his new club against Werder Bremen.
