Turning 25 on November 20, Swiss international defensive midfielder and centre-back Denis Zakaria is growing into more and more of a major target for AS Roma, willing to try fetching him next January already. To this end, according to latest Italian news, highlighted by CM.com, Serie A demi-giants have just submitted Borussia Monchengladbach an opening bid, adding up to a bare 5 million euros amount, bonuses not included. Kind of a cheap sum, compared to former Young Boys Bern's current player status.

Bundesliga side, however, might end up being forced to accept maybe a slightly richer fee, if Zakaria himself pressures them to, unless risking to lose him on a free move, once current season's over. 'Gladbach, however, might have already made peace with the latter scenario, as suggested some time ago by head of football of theirs, Max Eberl, as the skilled 1996-born doesn't seem interested at all in extending for them. Meanwhile, many A-listers around, including Bayern Munich, Barcelona FC, Manchester City, and Juventus, are more than keen on the Swissman.
