Mark van Bommel saw his VfL Wolfsburg lose 3-1 to RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. The Dutch coach has already not won seven games in a row. Still, according to the trainer, no man is overboard.

In Salzburg Wolfsburg fell behind after three minutes. "I think we were not sharp in the first minutes, but after that we played how we like. We deserved to be 1-1, but in the second half we didn't play like we did before half time. If you defend like this, you lose 3-1 here," Van Bommel said at the press conference afterwards.

After three games, Wolfsburg is last in group G, although the differences are small. "We would rather have been better off, we only have two points. We know that we have to win our two home games anyway, then we come to eight points. Then we also have an away game. I would have liked to have taken a point with me today, too. But I don't think we were entitled to that."

The next game awaits on Saturday, at home against SC Freiburg. "When we won four times in a row in the beginning, we did the same thing as we do now. Only now we have not won seven times in a row. Of course that does something to the confidence, that makes sense. We will remain people. We will be good be prepared for the next game. It's the little things in football."
