SERIE A – Milan, Baresi praises Paolo Maldini as Rossoneri director

Legendary defender Paolo Maldini made his comeback for the Rossoneri as a director when Elliott Management took over ownership of the club couple of years ago and the former player han’t looked back since.

Maldini’s role as an executive sees him take part directly in how the club functions, having a direct say alongside sporting director Ricky Massara and head coach Stefano Pioli.

Speaking to DAZN, his ex-teammate and Milan legend Franco Baresi stated: “Maldini entered with great enthusiasm. He is making available all his experience as a footballer but also his ideas and the competence he is showing as a director,” he said.

“He is doing a good job and Milan have grown a lot. We can do well this year, we did very well last year in the league and we are back in the Champions League where we hope to do well.”
