PREMIER - Tottenham close to finalizing deal with Paratici
According to Fabrizio Romano, Fabio Paratici is close to joining Tottenham Hotspurs as their new sporting director.
The italian just today held his exit press conference at Allianz Stadium in Turin with Juventus President Andrea Agnelli. The two capped their 11-year working relationship looking back at all the accomplishments made both on and off the field.
Paratici's contract was up at the end of the season and Juve decided not to retain him, choosing to promote Federico Cherubini to Paratici's role instead.
The move of bringing Paratici in might help Tottenham secure Antonio Conte as their new manager as well. The two worked together at Juve, winning three Serie A titles in the three years Conte managed the team, and kept a good relashionship since. Conte reportedly has doubts about joining Tottenham, but having Paratici on board might help convince Conte about where Tottenham wants to go in the short term.
