Tottenham give green light for Brennan Johnson to join Palace: player to decide within 48 hours
Crystal Palace and Tottenham have reached an agreement that would see Brennan Johnson move to Selhurst Park for £35m (around €40m). The final call now rests with the Spurs forward himself. According to the BBC, the Wales international, born in 2001, has yet to accept the proposal.
Johnson is expected to hold talks over his future within the next 48 hours, with interest from other Premier League clubs also growing. Bournemouth are among those monitoring the situation closely and view him as a potential replacement for Antoine Semenyo, with the Ghanaian winger seemingly heading for Manchester City as early as January.
Meanwhile, Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank has confirmed that the 24-year-old remains available for the New Year’s Day clash against Brentford:
“Brennan has been a great professional. He trained well today and is ready to play in two days’ time.”
Johnson joined Spurs in 2023 from Nottingham Forest in a deal worth around £47.5m. In two seasons in north London, he has made 106 appearances, scoring 27 goals. His name is already etched into the club’s recent history, having netted the decisive goal in last May’s Europa League final to seal the trophy for Tottenham.
A move to Palace would bring an intense but relatively short chapter to a close, with the Eagles ready to offer Johnson a central role in their project under the Selhurst Park lights.
