ATALANTA, Romero: "Fiorentina were after me. I made my choice because of Gasperini"

Turning 23 on April 27, Argentinian centre-back Cristian Romero, playing for Atalanta since early September, told Corriere dello Sport: "My agent was in talks with Fiorentina indeed. Of course, I'm still on a parent-club deal with Juventus, but I'm really happy playing for Atalanta. Prandelli's farewell affected me a lot. I worked under him at Genoa, and I know him as the wonderful person he is.
