On Tuesday, Venezia was defeated 2-1 at home by Salernitana after Ethan Ampadu's bizarre sending off reduced the hosts to ten men for more than 20 minutes.

Andrea Schiavone scored the game-winning goal for Salernitana in the 95th minute in Venice, completing a comeback victory in a match between two struggling promoted sides.

From the 67th minute, Salernitana had a man advantage, and the scores were even thanks to goals from Mattia Aramu and Federico Bonazzoli.

Ampadu, a midfielder for Wales, appeared to make a fantastic tackle to take down Franck Ribery, but referee Marco Di Bello showed him the red card.

Despite their first away win of the season, the away side moved off the bottom of the standings with seven points, but still remain in the relegation zone.
