Serie A giants Roma are set to receive a big financial boost as a result of a capital increase from the Friedkins.

This comes from La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Romanista today, who claim that the Friedkins are ready to invest a lot of money into Roma. Former owner James Pallotta had put down a capital increase to €210 million by the end of the year but the Friedkins have extended that date till the end of December 2022, while also bringing about a capital increase to €460 million.

Friedkins have already paid €284 million into the club’s coffers and €101 million were already paid by Pallotta. Now, the majority shareholder and the minority shareholders will provide €75 million more to take the total up to €460 million.

If the minority shareholders don’t contribute, Friedkins will have to do it and their ownership of the club will go up from 86 percent to 90 percent.
