While still trying to negotiate and secure the services of forward Mauro Icardi, AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho would unveil his first offensive recruit for the new season. Indeed, according to Corriere dello Sport, AS Roma and Genoa have agreed to transfer Eldor Shomurodov.
The Uzbek right-footed winger is expected to arrive in Rome on Sunday or Monday for his medical check-up. He will join La Louve on loan with a compulsory purchase option of € 17.5m, plus a € 2.5m bonus. The Red and Blues will also benefit from 10% on a possible resale of Eldor Shomurodov.
Eldor Shomurodov helped Genoa finish 11th on the Serie A standings during the 2020/2021 Serie A campaign. He played 31 games and scored 8 goals. The 26-year-old started 16 out of the 31 games and assisted one goal.
